Neoga Partnership for Progress Scholarship 

Brief Description: Essay required  Topic TBD

Neoga Business Scholarship 

Brief Description: This scholarship is offered to students who plan on pursuing a major in Business, Business Education, or a Computer Field. The student must have applied to a 2 or 4 year institution, must have a 3.5 GPA, and must have taken Keyboarding, Computer Concepts, and two additional computer classes. An essay is also required.

Brief Description: Essay Required

Coles Moultrie Electric Coop Scholarship 

Brief Description: Students are asked to fill out application regarding awards, community and school activities, and references. An essay is also required which will reflect an issue facing electric cooperatives.

Effingham Chamber Of Commerce Scholarships 

Brief Description: Completed application and short answer essays to 3 questions. ACT scores, GPA, and recommendation letters are required.

Lake Land Foundation Scholarships 

Brief Description: This scholarship consists of many awards from several contributors. One application is used for all scholarships. Click here for more information.

Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women High School Leadership Award

Brief Description: Applicant must provide an essay regarding their values of leadership, faith, and service. Letters of support are needed in regards to educational and religious affiliations.

Michael Slaughter Memorial Scholarship

Brief Description: Must have participated in cross-country or track during high school, GPA 4.0 or higher, and show community involvement.

Sarah Bush Guild Scholarship 

Brief Description: This scholarship is based on the student's scholastic achievement, financial need, and availability of funds. Letters of reference are needed as well as a profile of yourself regarding qualifications.

Bishop Mutual Insurance Scholarship 

Brief Description: Must complete application which includes GPA, 3 teacher references and a short essay question

Neoga Bucks Scholarship

Brief Description: One scholarship for a student attending a vocational/trade school, one scholarship for a student attending a traditional college.

Effingham Knights of Columbus Scholarship 

National FFA Scholarship 

Brief Description: The National FFA or chapter provides a guide with over 300 scholarships. Each one sets its own criteria and asks for different information. A generic form is used to apply for the various scholarships.

Neoga Teachers Association Scholarship 

Brief Description: Submit a letter of application including why you want to become a teacher, and information about academic and extra-curricular achievements and how this scholarship will benefit you. Two letters of recommendation are needed.

First Neighborhood Bancshares Scholarship 

Brief Description: Must be in good academic standing, list school involvement, work experience and answer a short essay regarding future plans

American Red Cross Scholarship

Brief Description: A 300-500 word essay is required. Prompt changes each year.

Cumberland County Develop Corporation

The Stump Trust Scholarship

Brief Description: You must have maintained a C average and show financial need. A financial statement is required.

Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship 

Brief Description: This scholarship is offered by the Illinois State Treasurers office. Includes the application, essay, transcripts, two letters of reference and statement of goals and future plans.

Neoga American Legion Scholarship

Brief Description: Must have a family member who is or was a member of the Masons.

St. Anthony's Scholarship 

Brief Description: An essay is required related to the reason to enter this field, proof of acceptance to an approved program, letter of recommendation, and an interview with selection committee.

Swinehart-Buchanan Scholarship 

Brief Description: Any senior who is in the top 20% of their class can has attended Neoga High School for at least 3 years is eligible. Applications are reviewed for student's career goals, academic record, teacher recommendation and financial need. Two scholarships are given each year and are automatically renewed for up to four years.

Jeri Watkins Shook Memorial Scholarship

Breif Description: Mrs. Shook-Watkins was a former secretary for the Neoga High School. She was a huge support of education. Her family created this scholarship in her honor as a way of helping a Neoga graduate. An essay is required regarding career aspirations and future goals.

Teutopolis Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of America Scholarship

Brief Description: The academic award requires the winner to be in the upper 50% of their class and must maintain a C average while in college. A 250-word essay and a teacher recommendation is required. The sports award requires the athlete to have earned two varsity letters, be in the upper 50% of their class, had no suspensions, maintained a C average, and submit a coach's recommendation.

The Anna B. Welch Memorial Fund

Brief Description: This scholarship's focus is on students entering a health related field who show financial need. Financial information is required. This scholarship is renewable, but must be reapplied for each year.

Illinois Sheriffs' Association Scholarship

Brief Description: This scholarship consists of a 350-word essay, a letter of recommendation, and a personal letter regarding your plans for the future. Some financial information is required along with school information regarding class rank and test scores.

Shelby Electric Coop Scholarship

Brief Description: This scholarship is based on a student's participation in community school activities. Grade point average and ACT scores are considered. A 500 word essay regarding the cooperative is required as part of the application.
