The Outsiders

We are studying the novel The Outsiders. The class is doing a group activity where they have to perform an investigation to predict what will happen throughout the novel. They observed pictures and items such as a candle, burnt match, candy cigarette, hair, fake blood, and newspaper clippings to develop a gist statement. As we read the novel we will refer to their charts to see if there is a correlation between their gist statements and the actual events in the novel.
